I know of no better way to encourage and grow the art of choral music than to support choral composers. I have had the privilege of being involved in commissioning new choral compositions from composers such as Dan Forrest, Joseph Martin, and our very own Dr. Jeff Jordan of Fort Hays State University. Each experience for myself and choirs have been beneficial, meaningful, exciting, and educational.
Dr. Jeff Jordan has recently launched a new web site highlighting his compositions. I encourage you to click on over and take a look. Jeff is awesome to work with. I have worked with Jeff on two pieces, one with my high school chamber choir and one with a middle school treble choir. Both experiences were great and well worth the effort. The students enjoyed the challenge of the music and especially the interaction with Jeff during the composition and rehearsal process. Congrats Jeff on your web site launch. Click on Jeff Jordan Music and take a look around.
Also, much is going on over at my web site, Matlock Music Works with several new launch projects — stay tuned. In the mean time, I am working on growing Matlock’s Piano Service. In the next few months I will be gathering some data that will shape the way I package this important service and better meet the needs of my piano tuning clients. You can be a part of this and a super big help. You can start by taking this short Piano Survey.
Subscribe below to my piano tuning news so you can receive important updates, special offers, and product information below. You will also receive the results of the piano survey( and future survey’s) — and be part of helping me better serve my piano clients. Matlock Music Works respects your privacy.
