What a wonderful summer!! Our first grand-baby was born in May to our oldest daughter, Jordan and her husband Jay, who live right here in Hays!!! Shelby, our youngest, is home for the summer. Nothing beats having the family all together.
On June 26, Sunday, at 3:30 pm at the Hays First United Methodist Church we get to hear many of the songs Shelby has performed in her voice studio at Northern Arizona University. We are happy that Shelby has chosen a career that she is passionate about and enjoys.
Come and hear more about her NAU experience, about the educational experiences in store for her next year, listen to some music, and then stay for some refreshments and conversation.
Just a note about her second music set. From her 6th grade year on , she and I would give impromptu recitals for Sherri, my wife, as I would accompany Shelby on the piano as we would sing through tons of broadway songs and her favorite worship songs; Wicked, Les Miserable, and Andrew Lloyd Webber songs were definitely her favorites. Special memories for Dad and Mom.
The recital is a fund raiser for the NAU Shrine of The Ages Choir Concert Tour of Sweden, Estonia and Latvia. The recital is free but donations welcome to help Shelby with her trip expenses.
